Overview
The C.E. Jeffers Sports Center has been home to Corban University's men's & women's basketball and women's volleyball teams since opening in January of 1978. In the summer of 2020, the construction of Tim Hills Court was completed inside of the facility, featuring one of the most unique court designs in the West. The state-of-the-art gym floor–named after legendary Warrior men's basketball coach, Tim Hills–features a silhouette of the Corban clock tower and Psalm Center, as well as recognizable landmarks from the city of Salem.
The C.E. Jeffers Sports Center is a multipurpose building providing space for intercollegiate sporting events, physical education classes, and the intramural program.
The facility seats 1,100 spectators, with 27,000 square feet of space housing a training room, dressing rooms, offices, volleyball and basketball courts, and a weight training and fitness area.
It is named in honor of Corban alumnus Clarence E. Jeffers, a sports enthusiast and the building contractor.
Since 1997, the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center has been host to numerous Cascade Collegiate Conference basketball tournament championship games with the Warriors' men's team winning the title in 1998 and 2002. Most recently, the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center hosted the 2012 CCC Women's Basketball Tournament championship game that featured a pair of NAIA Division II National Tournament participants – Corban University and The College of Idaho.
Over the past decade, the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center has received some major upgrades that included the installation of all-new general admission seating to replace the original bleachers, all-new VIP chair back seating behind the home & visiting team benches, all-new Daktronics 5000 wireless scoreboards and shot clocks, Home of the Warriors sign behind VIP seating, all-new three piece table at press row, and much much more.
Along with the intercollegiate events that happen each year inside the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center, the facility is home to the SKYBALL championships in March and the Oregon High School Girls' Basketball Coaches Association East-West All Star Series in June.
