Duke was named head coach of the men's basketball program at Adelphi University on April, 29, 2014 by Director of Athletics Danny McCabe, and entered his third season at the helm of the Panthers in 2016-17.
Duke led a program turnaround in his second season, as the Panthers more than tripled their wins from a season ago to finish with a 20-9 overall record. For the first time since the 2011-12 season, the team posted a 20-win record, and advanced to the Northeast-10 Conference tournament for the first time in four years, finishing second in the Southwest Division and falling on home court to Stonehill College in a thrilling 103-101 overtime decision. Duke coached senior guard Anthony Libroia and sophomore forward Manny Suarez to All-Conference honors, as Libroia also earned All-Met First Team selection.
During his first season, Duke helped guide Duane Morgan (15) to becoming the 33rd played in program history to reach 1,000 career points. Additionally, Morgan was selected an All-Met First Team selection.
Duke, who was in his second year as an Associate Head Coach at Fordham in 2013-14 and fourth year on the bench, helped the Rams to an appearance in the Atlantic-10 Championship during his final season. He was also instrumental in recruiting the current Atlantic-10 and All-Met Rookie of the Year, Jon Severe. In those four years, Duke's recruiting efforts helped elevate the talent pool considerably, leading to a resurgence of the program.
Duke started his basketball coaching career as a graduate assistant coach at Hofstra University under the tutelage of current Villanova Head Coach Jay Wright. He was then elevated to assistant coach after two seasons. Duke worked under Wright for one season before joining Tom Pecora's staff at Hofstra when he was named head coach in 2001.
An integral member of the staff at Hofstra, Duke helped the Pride become one of the top programs in the region. He was a part of two NCAA tournaments (2000 and 2001) and four Postseason National Invitation Tournaments including three in a row (2005-07) at Hofstra. During the 2005-06 seasons, the Pride tied a school record with 26 wins and advanced to the NIT quarterfinals.
Duke helped bring in a number of top level recruiting classes at Hofstra including the programs all-time leading scorer and three time Haggerty Award winner and Golden State Warrior draft pick, Charles Jenkins, and Antoine Agudio, Hofstra's all-time leading scorer until surpassed by Jenkins after finishing 13 th in the NCAA during 2007-08. In addition, Duke coached guards Craig "Speedy" Claxton, who was chosen in the first round of the National Basketball Association's 2000 NBA Draft and Norman Richardson, who appeared in the NBA with the Washington Wizards, Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers.
In 2003 and 2004, Duke was the head coach of the Long Island's men's open team at the Empire State Games that won consecutive championships -- the first time that Long Island has ever won back-to-back titles in the history of the Empire State Games. In 2003, Duke became one of the youngest coaches ever to win the gold medal in the open men's basketball competition. In 2004, Long Island won the championship by an average margin of victory of 33 points per game. The team also averaged 100 points per game and beat New York City on the way to the championship.
Duke earned his undergraduate degree in 1997 from SUNY Albany where he majored in communications and minored in education. In the 1997-98 season, he played on the basketball team at nearby New York Institute of Technology.

In 2007-08, Bittners second year as a Stockton assistant, the Ospreys snapped an 11-year NJAC championship drought and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. The next year, Bittner helped Stockton reach its pinnacle as the Ospreys repeated as the NJAC champs, went 30-3, setting a school record for victories, and reached the NCAA championship game.
The 2009-10 campaign saw Stockton earn its third straight NCAA berth. Bittner later helped the Ospreys reach the 20-win mark again in 2011-12 and 2012-13. Stockton regained the NJAC crown and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 before finishing with a 25-5 record in 2013-14. The Ospreys followed with two more conference titles and NCAA Tournament appearances, going 23-6 in 2014-15 and 21-7 in 2015-16.
In addition to his time on the Stockton staff, Bittner coached on the high school level as an assistant coach at Bishop Eustace and his alma mater, St. Augustine Prep.
As a player, Bittner spent one year at Morris County College and then three seasons at Wheeling Jesuit University. He scored 1,681 career points for the Cardinals and was a Division II All-American in 1994 and a three-time All-WVIAC selection. Bittner graduated from Wheeling Jesuit in 1995 and was inducted into schools Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002.

See what people are saying about EXACT!
Player
I wanted to let you know I committed to a school (Illinois Institute of Technology) and also thank you for the experience your camp gave me. I participated in 3 of your camps (freshman / sophomore / junior year of HS) and I in each one I learned something different. Although I didn't meet the coach from the school I am going during one of your camps, it is was because of the tools your camp gave me I was confident and knowledgeable enough to go through the process.
Before coming to your camp I didn't know where I would fit, but I knew I wanted to play in college. It was only through the interactions with coaches in your camp where I got a clear and honest picture of what my best bets were and provided me with the tools to navigate the process.
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you and affirm what you probably already know which is you are doing a great job.
